Full Tilt Poker Pro, Cuong 'Soi' Nguyen Wins His Own FTOPS Event It's not like he won the WSOP Main Event or anything but Soi Nguyen did perform an impressive feat by taking down his own FTOPS Event. The Full Tilt Pro and 2010 WSOP Main Event ninth place finisher hosted Event 18 of FTOPS XVIII and won it. Nguyen was able to outlast the field of 1,841 players to take first place in the $217 buy in, No Limit Hold’em, Rush Super Turbo tournament. While not the most impressive final table Nguyen did have to compete with two very good online players, David “Davidp18” Peters and IWEARGOGGLES but Nguyen was able to take them both out and take down the event and the $78,000 prize pool. In winning, Nguyen became just the third Full Tilt Pro to take down his own FTOPS Event. Erick Lindgren was the first player to do so when he won his own event in 2008 and Greg Mueller did the same in 2009. Here's the list of winners of the previous 17 FTOPS XVIII Events. Event 1 - Pageh656 FTOPS XVIII is set to continue until Nov. 21 when Gus Hansen hosts' the $3 million guaranteed main event.
